August--- sweet, crazy days

I always think of August as the sweet summer month--- of relaxed visiting, beach fires, lazier days--- but it  still brings back the slight anxiety as a left-over from my teaching days when August  was the 'slide back to school ' month- argh, I don't miss that ! Ambivalent August...
Am only having drop-in sessions this month but have been busy nonetheless; did the CRArtsfest a couple of weeks ago and am now getting ready for our Wet Paint Show and Sale ,while still enjoying the nice weather and tending to my neglected yard.
However I admit to feeling rather schizophrenic in the studio these last few days- bopping around between paintings, mediums and projects. Here are some of the paintings that I am working on; a couple of traditional oil paintings, a collage piece, an oil and cold wax piece (I am so excited to learn about this medium!) and a rejuvenated acrylic painting ( well hopefully it will be better by the time I return it to my daughter!) none of these are finished; I will post photos when completed.
