While the temperatures soar outside, it has remained cool in the studio. Although many of the 'regular' artists are on vacation, there has been steady attendance in drop-in classes, with a few new artists, and several weekend workshops to keep me busy. A new beginner's watercolour class began this week- always so exciting! From the Encaustics weekend workshop: Some of the interesting works-in-progress from drop-in sessions from the last few weeks: ![]() On a personal note: we wrapped up the show at the McMillan Centre in Parksville ( where "Theo goes to Venice" sold!) and are getting ready for our August Wet Paint Group show: August 25 and 26th at Saratoga beach. ![]() Proud to be Canadian- yup, love my country. The sun is shiny on this Canada Day holiday and so everyone is outside soaking it up... Back in the studio, on going drop-ins and workshops are happening. Had a great group of woman here on Saturday for an "Altered Spaces" workshop and am looking forward to another fun group this coming weekend for an "Introduction to Encaustics" 2 day workshop. It is always interesting how much I learn from these classes! Hoping to begin watercolour classes soon- for beginners. Looks like I will be waiting until September to start a beginner Acrylic class. Dropping is still every M-W F afternoon and everyone is welcome!! |
