Kathi has lived, worked and painted on the coast of BC her whole life. After graduating from UBC with a BA and a teaching diploma, she taught elementary school for more than 35 years. In 1998 she was fortunate to happen upon the vibrant studio of Chris Wootton in Campbell River. There she learned watercolour, then acrylics, and recently mixed media and oil painting techniques. Now semi-retired, she spends most of her time, when not creating her own art, instructing adults in her home studio, doing volunteer work in the arts or travelling- to gather reference material for future paintings!!
She resides at Miracle Beach on Vancouver Island--midway between Courtenay and Campbell River. |
