While travelling I like to paint a little 'vignette' at least once a day... usually when I feel the need to sit and rest a bit. Streetside cafes, museums, beaches, are all perfect for drawing whatever is in front of me.
Here is the travel kit I take: - Cotman watercolour kit - a mechanical pencil with white eraser - a Sharpie thin black permanent pen - one or more water brushes- my favourite is the Koi, but others with varying brush sizes are also good. It is light and fits in a small cotton bag. When not travelling, it is always in my purse or glove compartment for painting local scenes. |
