And a few more from my talented "Focus" watercolorists: street scenes, wet streets, travel sketches... some in progress: Equal dark and equal light--- lovely for autumn, but not so for art; we generally like unequal amounts of dark and light tonal values in our paintings. Lots going on in the studio- classes, drop-ins and workshops all back in swing. It is wonderful to meet new students, and welcome back the "old' ones! Here are a few pictures of what went on last week.

Love this time of year--- the air is so much fresher and more invigorating and the sun's warmth is lovely, not oppressive.
Ready to start Fall painting classes and workshops this week. It is not too late to register if you are interested!! Also drop in afternoons are ongoing- and fun! Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons- 1:30 - 4:30 On my easel: Playing with encaustics-- these small pieces (below) are on paper, mounted on cradled panels. Also doing a few large cold wax and oil paintings - which I will take and post pictures of soon. Other news; This month I was privileged to donate a painting to the new Hospice Building in Campbell River- am so glad it will be appreciated! And also I have paintings on display at the Alder Medical Clinic in Campbell River. ( and it looks like one has sold:) |
