I'm not sure how I'd put a 'summative spin' on 2016- personally it has been a good one, but globally rather a nightmare; from strange elections, to horrendous humanitarian issues to too many musicians and artists' deaths--so many sad and worrying moments. The studio in the inter-week between Christmas and New Years has remained busy with several 'keeners', including me, trying to finish up projects, while I have been working on finalizing classes and workshops for the New Year. Still spots open... contact me if interested!! Here are a few mixed media paintings, some produced at the 'Mixed Media Floral Still Life ' workshop: So here's to bringing on 2017.
May it be calm, respectful and healthy for both the people and the environment we love!!

As the snow continues to blanket our coastal world, I am trying to get organized for the holidays and the New Year... and that means that I am taking registrations for painting classes and workshops starting in January. As I like between 3 -6 people per class, I would like to encourage anyone interested in one of the courses to let me know asap--- also which days would work for you-- as I try to accomondate as many people's schedules as I can.
For full course descriptions click here and contact me (by email, phone 250 3375302 or contact form from this website) for more info or to register. The studio is still buzzing- drop ins and workshops: another 'Altered Spaces', and this Wednesday Dec 14th we are having the first "Mixed Media Floral Still Life" workshop whereby we will 'produce' a still life on canvas using acrylics, mediums, papers, and pastels. I'll post pics of the "masterpieces". Last week was Chris Wootton's studio wrap-up-- thought I would share some photos of the fantastic food and incredible decorations that adorned her space!! What an amazing and inspirational place! |
