Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season--- festive or restive as you desired. We had a busy sweet few days- in Victoria, Black Creek and Cassidy with relatives and friends. Starting with many wonderful birthday wishes, art group parties and my studio 'art party' (which enjoyed a surprise visit from Santa himself!!) it was all cheery and fun- albeit very fattening!!
Am now trying to post class and workshop schedules and get some registrations for Winter 2018 before I head south for a couple of weeks. See the Current Classes and Studio Calendar for more information--- PM or send a contact email from this site to register. I am going to Mexico from Jan. 3rd to the 21st. We are planning on staying at my friends Lee and Ceasar's place in Lo de Marcos for a week, and as she is a marvellous artist with a studio casita, I am hoping to join her in creating some art (She paints in many media as well as does encaustics and mixed media works).

Such a busy time... albeit a creative and invigorating time. I love the Christmas season, mainly for the lights and warmth of social gatherings, but I also get jags of nostalgia for those long ago times and people who are no longer with us.
Studio news: Still many folks are coming to studio drop-ins: doing Christmas cards and other lovely watercolours!! Such a talented and fun group of artists!! Last weekend I took an enjoyable workshop with Jewel Buhay on Alcohol Inks on Tile. Fun!!! This Friday we will toast our creativity and good fortune (living the artistic life!) at a 'Artworks Party" Hopefully there will be room for us to do a painting, after nibbling and noshing.... |
