It is the Victoria Day long weekend here in Canada, and finally the sun has emerged and we have had some real warmth (such a LONG cold, miserable winter...). Loving it! And it is time to go outside and paint 'en plein air". Today I painted while at the Ladysmith waterfront, nice... I am enjoying a 'free' weekend after a very busy few weeks (Central Island Studio Tour, Workshop at Brushworks and my usual classes, workshops and drop-ins ) Here are a few pics of those happenings...Presenting / demos, samples and some participant's work....: My beginning watercolour class has ended- and what such great art they did ! And now I am readying my art for the CR ArtsExpo this coming weekend- May 26-28th in Campbell River at the Community Centre. After that I am going to hunker down in my studio and paint , to boost my new work , especially in mixed media, oils and encaustics (okay, I am totally excited to try out more techniques in this old exotic medium!) The Elements: Oil and Cold Wax on Wood Panels-- Some pics of the Painting on Yupo session we had today--- it was such 'freeing fun', as one of the participants said- it feels like a kid playing....
