So that was Christmas! (and a wonderful surprise this year--- my daughter Ali and Menno got engaged so I am delighted!! )
Looking back it has been a very good year, and I am grateful for all the friendship, art success, teaching satisfaction and of course good health I have been so privileged to experience. I so appreciate all the students who have become new friends-- what a sweet job I have !!! In the studio I have been mostly trying to finish up commissions -- yes, all done!--- and plan for the Winter Courses starting in January. See the new Winter Schedule. On my easel I have a few small pieces- rather experimental- and a couple of larger pieces : one is a redo of a painting I did in a flash while in the Netherlands, now to be improved for my daughter; one is an abstracted 'peoplescape'; and the tidal pool acrylic which is still not quite finished. Today while waiting to ring in the New Year, I am setting out some lessons plans and demos for the portrait and landscape watercolour course... lots of fun! A Very Happy New Year to All!!
