November has been a busy month... but with the incessant rain it has been a great time to stay indoors and paint! As I get ready for the Central Island Studio Tour that is this coming weekend --NOv.25- 27-- my watercolour and acrylic Fall classes are all ending, but workshops and drop-in sessions are continuing. Check out the website for details and a good map of the Studio Tour. CentralIslandTour.com It is a FREE self-guided tour--- over 80 artists in more than 50 studios-- makes a great little road trip with friends!! Here are some photos of all the activity: Last weekend's "Altered spaces" workshop: These two paintings have been hung at the Comox Airport as part of the "Elements" exhibition. They were chosen I think as examples of line, colour and texture, as well as being of local subjects --beaches, forests... Check out the other great art pieces if you are departing, arriving or picking up passengers at YQQ. Last week of watercolour and acrylic classes-- great "students", great art and great fun!! And on my easel--- several large oil paintings and a few more experimental acrylic works are works in progress:
