Towards February...

Not sure where January has gone, but here it is almost February --- and a leap year...

Winter Classes are well underway. I am really enjoying the new Watercolour III course, focussing on landscapes and portraits. So far we have looked at different techniques of landscape painting: traditional "English" style as well as contemporary, more 'modern' treatments and painting water: reflections in still water, sparkling water, rolling and cresting ocean waves and crashing waves with spray... What fun!!

Last weekend I took a course for myself- a mixed media abstract class with John Schevers from Quadra Island. Loved the feeling of being a student, and learning some fascinating new techniques. The second session is this coming Saturday and I will publish some photos of the finished products!!
